Barcelona Study Abroad, Winter 2018
The University of Mississippi School of Business and International Business Seminars developed a week long Business Seminar experience in Barcelona, Spain during Winter Session 2018 (5 - 13 January).
Registration is now open, visit the study abroad webpage to register for the course. the deadline for registration is 13 September, 2017. cost for this trip is $3,320 (not including um study abroad application fee of $100.00; airfare; other meals, airport transfers, passport, visa fees; or personal spending money --- total cost for the trip is estimated at ~$6,000).
The experience is designed to provide you with first hand exposure to the world of International Business. It is an 8-day course of study and will fulfill the Study Abroad requirement (BUS 380, 3 Credit Hours) for the General Business Degree program. During the Course, you will visit business organizations like: the Barcelona Stock Exchange, Citi, and Freixenet. And discover the amazing city of Barcelona. (Seminar Flyer)
About General Business
The General Business major is a broad-based program designed to educate students and provide a solid understanding of business fundamentals. The scope of the major encompasses all facets of business and provides students with a wider range of analysis across the business functional areas. Our graduates are expected to work in business environments that require more diverse skills across the many areas of business. Graduates could go on to be general managers in medium and large businesses, and start or work in small or family-owned businesses. The major requires students to pursue experiences, either internationally (Abroad) or in a work setting (Internship); as well as, a minor from one of the other Schools or Colleges at the University of Mississippi to promote well-rounded and developed student for the demands of a diverse work environment.
