The School of Business Administration at The University of Mississippi was initially accredited by the American Assembly of Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) in 1944. AACSB has since been renamed to the Association for the Advancement of Collegiate Schools of Business. Founded in 1916, AACSB International is the longest-serving global accrediting body for business schools that offer bachelor's, master's, and doctoral degrees.

AACSB accreditation is offered only to schools that meet strict academic standards and program requirements. Only 634 schools of business, or less than 5% of all business schools in the world, have earned this hallmark of excellence. To maintain accreditation, a business school must undergo a rigorous internal review every five years and demonstrate a continuing commitment to the 21 AACSB quality standards relating to faculty qualification, strategic management of resources, interactions with faculty and students, as well as a commitment to continuous improvement and achievement of learning goals in degree programs.

We are proud to state that all of our business degree programs received full reaffirmation of accreditation in 2012. We will continue to evaluate and revise our programs and curricula to fulfill our mission as efficiently and effectively as possible, and to ensure that we meet and exceed the requirements for continued AACSB accreditation.
